Why tutoring is vital in todays world!

In the current world that is full of information, and the education system that has exceptionally cutthroat competition amongst students, there has appeared a significant problem with the sufficiency of the education that is provided to the students in schools. Although the students go to schools and the course matter is covered, there has been an expansion in the amount of coursework that is given to students over the years, that is slowly making it much more difficult for students to cope up with the pressure. The result is students who are reeling under the stress from the significant levels of educational pressure that is given to them, and performing poorly in the examinations, which further adds to the woes.

The solution that many industry experts suggest, is to have some extra, after-school tutoring for students that feel the need of such an extended program. This could students to clear their doubts, and understand the concepts much better than they would do otherwise. There are certain aspects that are covered in after-school tutoring, that makes it an attractive choice for students who are currently feeling that the school curriculum is getting the better of them:

1. Personal interaction: With the large number of students being taken into every class of the major schools, personal attention given by teachers to students decreases significantly, and the students feel hesitant in asking their doubt, lest they be ridiculed in the classroom. This leaves gaping holes in the educational fabric of the student’s mind, and this could lead them to skip some topics that they do not understand well. This can be solved by the personal interaction that the students get when they attend after-school tutoring. Since the tutoring classes are smaller in size, the tutor is better able to personally attend to the needs of the students, thus making them understand the topics better by clearing their doubts (Caskey, 2011).
2. Extended time: The students are not only limited to the school hours to understand the topics, and are instead able to have an extended period of study, that keeps them in the “zone” and helps them better concentrate for a longer time.
3. Instruments: The tutors, being personally involved with the students, are able to use whole new instruments to teach the students, which would not be feasible in classroom programs, due to the sheer number of students and the restrictions that the students have in the classrooms.

It is an investment by which we better ourselves through learning. The classroom is the primary medium by which this process occurs, but the truth is that more can be achieved with additional tutoring after school.

Shafi Education In Brampton began in order to provide that afterschool academic mentorship for students in the Peel Region by following the Ontario Curriculum. We seek to team up with students on their academic journeys.
